Peru: Korean tourist falls 500m deep into a ravine while taking a 'selfie'

An incident occurred in the Gocta waterfall area in the northeastern province of Bongaree. According to Peruvian police data, the 28-year-old tourist from South Korea fell 500 meters while trying to take a selfie against one of the world's highest waterfalls on Wednesday, June 29.
Previously, BBC News reported on the death on the same day, June 29, of a German tourist who wanted to take a selfie at the ancient city of Machu Picchu in Peru, located on a high mountain top.
The 51-year-old man went near the edge of the cliff and jumped to show himself in a flying pose. However, he lost his balance and fell to his death.
