Launching the program 'Border March' 2022
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 3, at Nam Can International Border Gate (Ky Son), the Central Youth Union, the Central Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with the Border Guard Command and Nghe An province launched the program "March Border" and launched a special emulation campaign to welcome the Youth Union Congresses at all levels towards the 12th National Youth Union Congress.
Attending the program on the Central side were comrades:Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union;Nguyen Ngoc Luong- Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union,ChairpersonVietnam Youth Union; YouthGeneral Tran Van Bung, Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of the Border Guard; Comrade Nguyen Anh Duc - Deputy Head of the Foreign Affairs and Overseas Vietnamese Department, Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and accompanying units.
On the side of Nghe An province, there are comrades:Nguyen Van Thong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Van Luong - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union; Colonel Le Nhu Cuong - Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Nghe An Border Guard and representatives of local leaders.
On the Lao PDR side, there were comrades: Cho Lo Ca Ma - Deputy Secretary of the Noong Het District Party Committee, Xieng Khouang Province; Xong Ha Chia Chu - Secretary of the Noong Het District Youth Union; De Ha - Captain of Border Guard Company 221; Kiem Phon - Chief of Police Station 31 of the Lao PDR.

Harnessing the Power of Youth
Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Ngoc Luong-Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union, Chairman of the Youth Unionaffirming that March every year is always a special time for every young Vietnamese person as this is Youth Month, the peak time for the youth union members of the whole country to actively compete to participate in implementing projects and tasks contributing to the socio-economic development of each locality and unit.
This is also an occasion for the youth of the whole country to turn to the national border, participating in practical and meaningful activities to celebrate the anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day and the National Border Guard Day.

Launched on the right day of Border Guard Tradition and National Border Guard Day, with the theme"My Fatherland's Border"The 2022 “March Border Month” program is specially designed with simultaneous activities in all border areas across the country. This year’s “March Border Month” program also takes place in a special context, when the youth of the whole country are competing to welcome the Youth Union Congresses at all levels, towards the 12th National Youth Union Congress.

The main activities in March 2022 include: Youth Journey to the border marker associated with the "I love my Fatherland" flag-raising ceremony; exchanges, visits, and gratitude to veterans, officers, and soldiers of the border guards, who have been working day and night, regardless of difficulties, to achieve the "dual goal": both protecting the sovereignty and security of the national border and performing the task of controlling and preventing the Covid-19 epidemic at the country's border.
At the same time, Union members, Association members, and young people undertake and implement youth projects and tasks associated with the tasks of maintaining national defense and security, developing the economy and society, caring for and accompanying people and children in difficult circumstances in border areas.

2022 is a special year when the two Parties, States and peoples of the two countries will practically organize activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Laos diplomatic relations. In the context of the complicated and unpredictable developments in the international and regional situation, it is certain that the Vietnamese and Lao youths will always join hands to carry out the mission of preserving and further promoting the cause of solidarity and friendship between the two peoples.

Many meaningful activities
In order to show gratitude for the contributions of former Youth Volunteers, families with meritorious services, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities, and to show the gratitude and responsibility of today's young generation in promoting the fine traditional values of our people, at today's program, the program's Organizing Committee presented 20 gifts to 20 former Youth Volunteers, families with meritorious services, and prestigious people among ethnic minorities.

The program's organizers also awarded 40 scholarships to ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances to encourage them to study well.
Within the framework of the "Wish for Children" Program coordinated by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union with the Ministry of Education and Training and implementing units, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the For Vietnamese Stature Fund under TH Group and Bac A Bank presented 20 "Toilet for Children" projects, each "Toilet for Children" project worth 60 million VND will be deployed at schools in difficult border areas in Nghe An province worth 1.2 billion VND.

In order to promote the pioneering and volunteering role of young people in joining hands to build new rural areas, in this program, the Organizing Committee supports the donation of a youth project "Lighting up the border" using solar energy, worth 200 million VND, helping people to travel conveniently and ensuring security and order in the area.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union presented 01 "Beautiful School for Children" project at Muong Piet village school, Thong Thu 1 Primary School, Thong Thu commune, Que Phong district, worth 430 million VND and 01 "Beautiful School for Children" project at Pa Ca village school, Nam Can Kindergarten, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district, worth 280 million VND.
The Program Organizing Committee presented 500 national flags to 500 households living along the border in Nam Can area; 1,000 pairs of sports shoes worth 250 million VND to people, youth and students in Nam Can commune.

The program also presented a “Happy House” to Lau Y Do, a student in class 2C, Nam Can Primary School, an orphan whose father died, whose family is in extreme difficulty, and who is currently living with his disabled mother. At the same time, the International Human Resources and Technical Development Trading Joint Stock Company presented a “Happy House” to a disadvantaged student in Ky Son district. Each “Happy House” is worth 80 million VND.
