At the ceremony, on behalf of the Standing Committee - Party Committee - Provincial Military Command, Colonel Pham Van Dong - Political Commissar of Nghe An Provincial Military Command launched the peak emulation campaign "When drinking water, remember its source, show gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution". In which he emphasized: Nghe An is one of the fierce battlefields in the two resistance wars against France and the US to save the country, a symbol and common pride of a heroic period of a heroic nation. During that arduous and fierce fighting period, the people and armed forces of Nghe An contributed a lot of effort, sweat, and blood to the cause of fighting to liberate the country, building and defending the socialist Fatherland of Vietnam. Many sons of Nghe An heroically sacrificed and remained on the battlefields; many others suffered lifelong disabilities.

The peak emulation period is an opportunity for officers and soldiers of Nghe An province's armed forces to further demonstrate their tradition,The moral 'When you drink water, remember its source', "repaying gratitude" of the nation, from which there are many meaningful and practical activities for war invalids, martyrs' families, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Representatives of 4 agencies of the Nghe An Provincial Military Command signed an emulation agreement with the determination to implement and excellently complete the goals and targets of the peak emulation period. In particular, the focus is: 100% of officers and soldiers have a strong political stance, are absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the People; have a firm grasp of the situation of the country, the Army, the locality and the unit, uphold the will and determination, are ready to receive and complete well the assigned tasks. 100% of officers and soldiers have a deep understanding of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; resolutions, directives and guidelines on policy work for the Army and the Army's rear.

Continue to effectively resolve policy backlogs for beneficiaries; continue to effectively implement support policies for relatives of martyrs working in the Army, families of officers and soldiers in difficult circumstances; organize care, care, visit and encourage Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; meet and give gifts to people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs working in the Army; give gifts and savings books to families of martyrs and policy families in difficult circumstances; repair and embellish martyr cemeteries and works honoring martyrs; organize incense offering, flower offering, candle lighting to pay tribute to martyrs at cemeteries; effectively organize health check-ups, consultations, and free medicine provision for people with meritorious services to the revolution.

Build and donate houses of gratitude; repair and upgrade houses for people with meritorious services to the revolution, policy beneficiaries with difficult housing circumstances in the area. On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command awarded the Emulation Flag of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to the Technical Department of the Provincial Military Command, the Vinh City Military Command and the Quy Chau District Military Command for their excellent performance in their tasks and leading the patriotic emulation movement in 2021.
