Coming to the house of Ms. Tran Thi Minh (50 years old, residing in Doc Cao block, Quang Tien ward, Thai Hoa town), Ms. Minh said that at around 8:00 p.m. on October 23, she went to exercise as usual. When she arrived at the gate of Quang Tien ward medical center, she heard the cry of a child in front of the gate of Quang Tien ward medical center. When she opened the cardboard box, she discovered a baby boy about 20 days old.
She said: “The baby was dressed in tight clothes and had a hat on his head, but at that time his skin was pale, so I immediately took him to the medical center to check his health and give him milk. After the check-up, I asked the local authorities to let me take him home to temporarily raise him, because my daughter-in-law at home had just given birth to the baby more than 3 months ago so I could take care of him more conveniently.”
According to Ms. Minh, when she found the baby, it was in a cardboard box containing a few thin blankets, but there was no personal information. Currently, the baby is healthy and normal, sleeping well and not crying. My family named him Phuc Loc, hoping that his parents will reconsider, otherwise the family will take him in and raise him,” Ms. Minh said.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thai Ngoc - Head of Quang Tien Ward Police, Thai Hoa Town said: "After learning about the incident of an abandoned baby in the area, many families wanted to adopt the baby. However, the local government has not agreed. Partly, we are waiting for the baby's relatives to come and take care of the baby. Currently, the baby is being adopted by Ms. Tran Thi Minh's family to take care of the baby."
