Promoting the role and spreading the image of veterans on all fronts
(Baonghean.vn) - Although the force is small, with the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", the veteran force and the Veterans Association of Nghe An Province's Agencies always affirm their exemplary role, thereby spreading the image of veterans who are always pioneers on all fronts.
Leading the way, exemplary
The Veterans Association of Provincial Agencies is a grassroots organization under the Veterans Association of Nghe An province, established in 2014. Currently, the association has 20 branches with nearly 350 members participating in work in provincial agencies under the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies.

According to comrade Trinh Ba Vinh - Chairman of the Association of Veterans of Provincial Agencies: On the basis of closely following the regulations on the functions and tasks of organizing the association of administrative and public service agencies, in recent years, the Association of Veterans of Provincial Agencies has had many concerns, focused on innovating the content and methods of operation, clearly affirming the role and imprint of "Veterans".
A clear result of the Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies and each facility is to participate in building and protecting the Party, the State, the Socialist regime, protecting the People and the great national unity bloc. The Association promotes the exemplary responsibility of its members, actively participating in contributing many opinions to the documents of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020 - 2025 term; advising and participating in consultations to introduce and run for high-quality candidates for the Provincial People's Council; disseminating and educating the law; participating in online contests to learn about the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels organized by the Party Committee of the Bloc...
The Association and veteran members in provincial agencies are also the core force participating in the fight against bureaucracy, corruption, waste, practicing thrift, and implementing democratic regulations in each agency and unit. At the Party Committee level, the Veterans Association has coordinated with organizations to contribute ideas to the Resolution on promoting administrative reform in the provincial agencies of the Party Committee of the Block, contributing to enhancing the responsibility in performing public duties of the cadres, civil servants, and public employees in the Party Committee.

Over the past 5 years, the association at all levels has strengthened the movement to mobilize members to unite, promote the traditional nature of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", and step up the implementation of the "Exemplary Veterans" movement. Accordingly, each cadre and member in each working position has always been exemplary, promoted the sense of responsibility, proactively and creatively in their work. From there, they have advised the province to issue many policies on socio-economic development; attracting investment, and at the same time actively directing, guiding or organizing the implementation of resolutions into life. Typical examples are administrative reform; tax management and state budget collection; import and export taxes, combating trade fraud; preventing corruption and waste; protecting people's health...
Veterans in the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies are also pioneers and exemplary in the creative labor emulation movement; actively and effectively participate in social security movements, support resources for Covid-19 epidemic prevention, the program "Waves and Computers for Children", the program "Millions of Great Unity gifts to support Southern compatriots to overcome the pandemic" launched by the Vietnam Veterans Association...

Every year, 100% of the members of the Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies are evaluated by agencies and units as having completed their assigned tasks well; 100% of the members are Party members and are classified by the Party organization as having completed their tasks well or better. In the past 5 years, 65 comrades have been recognized as emulation fighters at all levels; 39 comrades have been commended and rewarded at the grassroots level and 5 comrades have been commended by the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Block.
The Association and veteran members are also the core force participating in educating the young generation on patriotic traditions and revolutionary ideals through organizing seminars, traditional talks, meetings and exchanges to change the awareness and actions of young people; helping outstanding members and introducing them to the Party for admission. In 5 years, the Party's grassroots organizations with Veterans Associations have admitted 315 young party members, including a part of the Veterans Association's contribution in helping and training.
Veterans Associations at all levels also take care of building the Association; taking care of the lives of members, organizing many social security activities. Every year, 100% of grassroots organizations of the Association meet the standards of completing their tasks well or better; 100% of member families meet the standards of "Cultural Family"; 100% of members meet the standards of "Exemplary Veterans". The Veterans Association of Provincial Agencies was recognized by the Provincial Veterans Association for completing its tasks excellently in 3 years (2018, 2019, 2021), and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee and the Central Vietnam Veterans Association.
Assessing the role of veterans and the Association in the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies, comrade Le Thi Kim Oanh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies said: The Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies is a gathering place for soldiers who participated in the battlefields of the Southwest border, the Northern border, the Cambodian battlefield or who had spent years training and growing up in the military environment.

The Provincial Agencies' Veterans Association currently has 105 members participating in the Party Committee and management staff, accounting for 35.6% of the total number of members. There are 16 comrades who are leaders of the province and provincial departments, branches, sectors and organizations.
Currently, the percentage of members who are party members is 97% and 96% of members have professional qualifications from university level or higher. Therefore, regardless of their field, expertise, or position, they are all exemplary "nuclei" in terms of diligent and meticulous working style, high sense of responsibility in work; exemplary in ethics and lifestyle; truly shining examples in agencies and units.
Key tasks of the new term
The advantages and strengths of the veteran force, combined with the increasingly high task requirements in each agency and unit in particular and the Provincial Agencies Party Committee in general, set higher goals and tasks for the Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies in the 2022-2027 term, requiring the Association to continue to encourage veteran members to promote the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldiers"; the tradition of "Loyalty - Solidarity - Exemplary - Innovation"; promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, build a strong and comprehensive association; excellently complete all assigned tasks.
To successfully achieve this goal, the Veterans Association of the Provincial Agencies clearly identified the breakthrough that needs to be focused on in the new term: motivating cadres and members to actively participate in administrative reform work according to Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and Resolution No. 02-NQ/DUK of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Bloc; first of all, promoting exemplary roles, responsibility, and dedication to work to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.

Along with that, focus on effectively implementing two tasks: Gathering and motivating veterans to unite, maintain and promote the traditional qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" to perform well the assigned political tasks; Building a strong association organization, continuing to innovate content and methods, improving the quality and effectiveness of the association's activities; contributing to the good implementation of political tasks in each agency and unit, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress of Provincial Agencies and the 7th Congress of Nghe An Provincial Veterans Association.
