Vinh Ancient Citadel Night Food Street is expected to open from April 27
(Baonghean.vn) - The renovation work will be completed in the coming days and strive to put the Vinh Ancient Citadel night food street into operation from April 27, 2023, serving people and tourists during the tourist season.
Over the years, on the routeDao Tan StreetCua Nam ward has formed a night food street with many Nghe specialties attracting a certain number of customers, contributing to the development of the night economy of the ward in particular and the city in general, an attractive highlight for tourists every time they return to Vinh city.

However, on this street, the infrastructure is degraded, businesses are spontaneous, uncontrolled, unmanaged, and lack diversity in form and products, and there are no highlights, attractions, or points to retain tourists, so the night food street has not yet fully promoted its value and brought about optimal efficiency.
Faced with that situation, Vinh City has a project to build "Vinh Ancient Citadel Night Food Street" in Cua Nam ward to synchronously implement solutions to elevate the food street, creating a highlight for people and tourists to visit and experience.

According to the project, the Vinh Citadel night food street will be piloted on 2 routes. Route 1 is Dao Tan Street, from Cua Huu to Cua Ta of Vinh Citadel. Route 2 is located in the East of the Radio Broadcasting Center of Nghe An Radio and Television Station, about 150m long, intersecting with Dao Tan Street. The main industry is Nghe An culinary specialties, some secondary industries such as local specialties, souvenirs of all kinds...
Initially, the city focused on organizing, managing and developing 27 households that have been doing business on Dao Tan Street and around the Radio Broadcasting Center of Nghe An Radio and Television Station. After that, it will continue to call on organizations and individuals to participate in expanding business on the streets.

Mr. Dang Hieu Lam - Chairman of the People's Committee of Cua Nam Ward said: Currently, the work of beautifying the roads in the night food street project such as upgrading sidewalks, decorative lighting systems, synchronizing kiosks... is being carried out synchronously by the city, the ward and business households. The ward has also deployed forces to sign commitments with business households, requiring them to ensure regulations on food safety, environmental hygiene... when put into operation. If any household violates, affecting the food street as well as the tourist destination, they will be handled according to regulations.
Vinh Citadel is a famous tourist destination of the city, Dao Tan night food street has also been a familiar destination for people in recent years. Therefore, investing and upgrading these streets will create a new highlight, tourists can both visit the Citadel and experience and enjoy the cuisine in the surrounding areas.
