Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee: Trade union activities need to be more flexible and sharper

On the morning of July 9, Nghe An Civil Servants' Union held a seminar to celebrate its 20th anniversary (July 12, 2000 - July 12, 2020). Efforts to meet mission requirements

At the seminar, many opinions and discussions affirmed the development of Nghe An Civil Servants' Union after 20 years of establishment.From 39 grassroots unions, up to now, Nghe An Civil Servants' Union has 63 grassroots unions, with more than 4,600 union members who are cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of provincial departments, branches, and affiliated units.

After 20 years of establishment (4 congresses), Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union has always made efforts to propagate and mobilize civil servants and public employees to strive, compete in labor, be creative, and successfully complete the political tasks of each agency and unit; building the image of friendly and devoted civil servants and public employees.

At the same time, orient and guide grassroots trade union organizations to implement many solutions to effectively implement grassroots democracy, administrative reform, build a strong Party and government of provincial agencies, actively contributing to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development strategy.

The Civil Servants' Union and grassroots unions also have many activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers in each agency and unit; at the same time, participate in many social security activities according to the policies, programs and initiatives of the province.

Flexible and sharp in operation

Many opinions also expressed many concerns about the rapid development of the world with the 4.0 industrial revolution and the rapid development requirements of the country and the province, posing many challenges for the staff, civil servants and public employees in provincial departments, branches and sectors under the Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union.

Therefore, the task set for the Nghe An Civil Servants' Union in the coming time is to be proactive, to consider and select key contents and weak points from departments and branches in order to propose solutions and organize emulation movements among union members. On the other hand, the union organization must also clearly demonstrate its role and know how to fight to protect the right thing and good people.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, speaking at the seminar, in addition to highly appreciating the role and effectiveness of the Civil Servants' Trade Union in recent times, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also analyzed and clarified many challenges, requiring trade unions at all levels, including the Civil Servants' Trade Union, to continue to innovate, be more flexible and sharp in their activities.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son also emphasized a number of key tasks that the Civil Servants' Trade Union needs to focus on. That is to continue to attach importance to and promote the work of propaganda, political and ideological education for cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and union members; strongly innovate the content and methods of organizing patriotic emulation movements, making the movements more qualitative and practical; arouse the spirit of creativity and enthusiasm for work of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

Along with that, we pay attention to taking care of the legitimate rights and interests of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, and doing a good job in social security. We constantly strengthen the organization, build a team of union cadres at all levels with strong political will, qualifications, capacity, dynamism in mass mobilization, enthusiasm, and dedication to union work.

In the immediate future, the Civil Servants' Trade Union needs to organize practical activities and movements to welcome the Patriotic Emulation Congress and Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 13th National Congress of the Party.

On this occasion, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union and 2 individuals with many outstanding achievements; 16 individuals received the Commemorative Medal for the cause of building the Trade Union organization./.
