Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee attended the Great Solidarity Festival with people in border communes

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 5, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong attended the national great unity festival with cadres and people of Son Ha village, Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district - one of the four border communes of Tuong Duong district.

This is an activity to celebrate the 87th anniversary of the National United Front Day and National Great Unity Day (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2017).

Son Ha is a cultural village with 292 households and 1,156 people, of which over 85% are Thai ethnic people. Over the years, promoting the spirit of solidarity, actively participating in economic development, helping each other to sustainably reduce poverty, and improving spiritual life; the life of the villagers has increasingly improved.

The average income of the villagers increases annually, now reaching 19 million VND/person/year, the rate of cultural families reaches over 75%; the rate of poor households has decreased to 5.8%.

The basic infrastructure system of the village has been completed, Son Ha village is continuing to implement the remaining criteria in the new rural construction program.

Sharing joy with Son Ha village on the national solidarity festival, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong praised the achievements that the village has made.

In particular, in the new rural construction movement, people donated 400m of internal roads and concreted 394m of traffic; contributed 37 million VND and over 1,310 laborers...

Based on the achieved results, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee believes that with the attention of the Party, the State, and authorities at all levels through mechanisms and policies, the people of Son Ha village will continue to strive to promote the spirit of solidarity, replicate effective models and methods in economic development; together build the village to develop more and more.
