Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong directly awarded the Certificate of recognition of the commune meeting the new rural standards (NTM) to Xuan Lam commune. This is a purely agricultural commune of Nam Dan district.

After 5 years of implementation, with the attention and support of the province and Nam Dan district, and the cooperation and contribution of the people, Xuan Lam commune has mobilized a total fund of over 190 billion VND, of which the people contributed 118.3 billion VND, accounting for 62.3% to build the new rural area.

Infrastructure is invested in; rural roads, residential cultural houses... are built spaciously; the cultural, artistic and sports movements of the commune develop strongly; 100% of residential areas have cultural houses and sports grounds; the rate of cultural families reaches 86%.

The criteria for transportation, education, health care, and national security all met and exceeded the prescribed targets. Schools, medical stations, and offices were built spaciously.

The poverty rate has decreased over the years, now only 4.4%. The average income per capita in the commune in 2011 reached 10.4 million VND/person/year, and in 2017 it reached 30.2 million VND/person/year.

In 2017, the Party Committee was recognized with the title "Clean and Strong". All political organizations of the commune have completed their tasks excellently.

With those results, Xuan Lam commune has completed 19/19 criteria and was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman as reaching the new NTM finish line in 2017.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Tien Lam praised the efforts of the staff and people of Xuan Lam commune and the achievement of the new rural standards; however, this is only an important initial result.

To improve the achieved criteria in the coming time, the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development requested the Party Committee, government and people of Xuan Lam commune to make more efforts.

In the direction, the commune needs to focus on priorities, create breakthroughs in economic development, limit over-mobilization of people, consider improving the material and spiritual life of the people as a consistent goal, actively contributing to building Nam Dan district into a model new rural district.

On this occasion, 4 collectives and 4 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial People's Committee Chairman; 2 collectives and 2 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the District People's Committee Chairman.

The Chairman of Xuan Lam Commune People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit to 8 collectives, 5 individuals and honored 2 exemplary families for their outstanding achievements in the new rural construction movement./.
