Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council participated in the National Great Unity Day in Thanh Chuong
(Baonghean.vn) - Speaking at the Great Unity Festival in Thuy Chung village (Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district), comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh suggested that the village promote democracy at the grassroots level, properly implement conventions and village regulations; preserve and promote traditional cultural and ethical values of the nation.
On the morning of November 16, Thuy Chung village, Thanh Thuy commune (Thanh Chuong district) held a ceremony to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023) and the Great National Unity Day in residential areas in 2023.
Attending and sharing joy with the cadres and people of Thuy Chung village were comrades: Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Hai Duong - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of Thanh Chuong District Party Committee; leaders of Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station and Youth Volunteer Corps 5.
Bringing border villages to the new rural finish line
Thuy Chung village has a total of 280 households, with 1,174 people. In 2023, in the spirit of solidarity, leadership and direction of the Party cell, Party cell, executive committee and the unanimous participation of organizations and unions, Thuy Chung village has gathered a united bloc of people from all walks of life to compete in transforming the structure of crops and livestock; promoting forest and garden economy; associated with the development of service and trade economy.

During the year, officials and people of Thuy Chung village donated land, assets, contributed working days and money to build 3.1 km of concrete road; some typical examples include Mr. Nguyen Sy Ky's family 61 million VND, Mr. Nguyen Huu Hoa 23 million VND, Nguyen Huu Binh 21 million VND, Do Duy Thanh 17 million VND...
The village cultural house alone was invested in construction with more than 1.8 billion VND from socialized sources along with partial support from the budget. The cadres and people of Thuy Chung village united to build and improve cultural life, practice physical exercise and sports; united to help each other reduce poverty with the poverty rate reduced to 3.9%.
