Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited economic models in Thanh Chuong district, Cua Lo town
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the effectiveness of economic models in Thanh Chuong district and Cua Lo town, and directed departments and branches to continue supporting and expanding the models in the coming time.
On the afternoon of June 20, a working delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van De inspected agricultural production models in Thanh Chuong district and Cua Lo town. Accompanying them were leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Science and Technology, and the Provincial Farmers' Association.

In Thanh Chuong district, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation visited the organic tea growing, processing and trading model of Mr. Nguyen Van Duong - Truong Son hamlet, Thanh Mai commune. The model has a scale of 46 hectares of land for growing tea and acacia trees. The area of the tea processing factory is 4,000m2.2. Production capacity is 45 tons of fresh tea buds/day. This is one of the largest tea production facilities in the district.

The delegation also visited the high-tech duck and chicken farming model of Mr. Dinh Nho Phu Quy in village 4, Thanh Lam commune with a scale of 13,000 ducks and 10,000 chickens. The model applies automatic feeding trough technology and is equipped with a cooling system. Each year, 60,000 meat ducks and 30,000 meat chickens are sold; annual revenue is 1.8 billion VND.


In Cua Lo town, the delegation visited the production, business and seafood processing model of Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen in Hai Giang 2 block, Nghi Hai ward. The model has a total area of 2,000m2including 6 cold storages and 1 seafood processing workshop. Annual processing output reaches 120 - 360 tons of various types of seafood; Annual revenue reaches about 100 - 120 billion VND. All 3 models meet the criteria of good production and business households at the Central level.
Through the inspection, Mr. Nguyen Van De - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the economic efficiency that the models brought, helping to increase income and create jobs for rural people. At the same time, he directed departments and localities to integrate programs to have policies to support and replicate these models in the coming time.

Regarding tea production, processing and trading, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to promote production, expand the area of organic tea to increase the value of Nghe An tea, aiming for export. At the same time, localities and departments need to pay attention to meeting the electricity supply to serve people in irrigation and drought prevention. For poultry farming models, it is necessary to pay attention to the output of livestock, ensure environmental hygiene of barns, increase vaccination to ensure a healthy herd, and focus on cooling livestock in hot weather.

For seafood processing and trading models, it is necessary to improve quality and output, ensure food safety, especially to meet the needs of tourists when coming to Cua Lo beach town during the tourist season.
