Agribank Deputy General Director presents 100 Tet gifts to poor households in Nghi Loc district
On the morning of January 24, a working delegation of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) led by Ms. Phung Thi Binh - Deputy General Director visited Nghi Van and Nghi Lam communes, Nghi Loc district to give gifts to poor households and families with special difficulties.
The delegation included Ms. Duong Thi Thu Hien - Director of Agribank Nghe An branch. Also attending were representatives of departments and offices of Agribank Nghe An branch and Nghi Loc district, representatives of the leaders of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Loc district and leaders of Nghi Van and Nghi Lam communes.

In Nghi Van and Nghi Lam communes, the delegation presented 100 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to poor households, families in especially difficult circumstances, the elderly, and single people in the area.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Ms. Phung Thi Binh - Deputy General Director of Agribank shared, sent greetings and encouragement to the people of the two communes and poor households in particular; at the same time, she said that although the number of gifts is not much, it is the heart of Agribank in general and Agribank Nghe An in particular to support the poor and lonely people to celebrate the traditional Tet holiday more fully and warmly.

On this occasion, representatives of Agribank's leadership also shared the activities of accompanying and supporting farmers and rural areas in the past year. Proud to be a 100% state-owned bank that has been, is and will continue to accompany the cause of agricultural, rural and farmer innovation, Agribank will commit to continue supporting loans for people to do business, develop the economy, build new rural areas that are increasingly prosperous and happy; carry out well the tasks of eliminating hunger and reducing poverty, ensuring that no one is left behind in the new era of the nation.

On behalf of the district leaders, Mr. Ho Nam - Member of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghi Loc district sincerely thanked the attention and support of Agribank Nghe An branch in 2024 and gave valuable gifts to poor and disadvantaged households in the district this Tet holiday.

Based on information on some major features of the socio-economic situation and the results of new rural construction last year, the representative of the District Fatherland Front Committee also hopes that in the coming time, based on the close cooperation relationship for many years as well as the personal sentiment of being a child of the homeland, Agribank in general and the Deputy General Director of Agribank in particular will continue to accompany and support farmers to eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, develop the economy as well as support poor households and families in difficult circumstances during the coming Tet and Spring.

The Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Nghe An branch, is one of three branches of Agribank operating in the province and has the largest scale. Last year, along with efforts to improve business efficiency, Agribank Nghe An branch also actively accompanied and participated in many social security activities, helping poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances to celebrate Tet. On the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025, Agribank gave gifts worth 900 million VND to support poor households and families in difficult circumstances. In 2024, in Nghe An, Agribank allocated a total of 17.5 billion VND to the social security fund, of which 800 million VND was to support Tet gifts for the poor./.
