Nowadays, the world is developing and every field is changing every day. Therefore, the role of women is also being enhanced. Each woman, including women in ethnic minority areas, is aware of the role of women and themselves. Women in remote areas also realize that knowing how to beautify themselves is beautifying their families and society. In our Ky Son district, on holidays such as October 20, March 8, Tet, and festivals, women have prepared themselves, enthusiastically and made efforts to participate in experiential activities and recreational activities. This also shows that the awareness of women in mountainous districts has changed a lot.

What we are concerned about now is that ethnic minority women and women in remote areas do not have much time for themselves and still spend most of their time taking care of their families. Therefore, in the coming time, we need to strengthen propaganda work so that women are more aware of their role in society.

I grew up in a remote district, so even though life has developed, there are still families who do not want their daughters to go to higher education, they just want their daughters to get married early.

Luckily in my family, education is very important and I decided to go to the ethnic minority school to study high school because I thought that coming here I would be able to integrate and develop and I wanted to study to pursue my passion and my dream. Later I can return to my hometown and contribute to changing my hometown to develop more and more. I want everyone to see that, although the background of mountain girls is difficult, although we were born in remote areas, if we make an effort, strive, if we have determination, we can still achieve our dreams.

To assert myself, at the present time, I think I have many opportunities. That is to try to study well, actively participate in movements at school. Teachers also always create conditions for us to be able to develop our talents.

For the past 12 years, my husband has been away, I have raised 4 children alone and have gone through many difficulties. In that situation, I have always received encouragement and help from my family, from both sides of my family, from the women's association, and from the neighborhood to raise my children to become good people, to become useful people for society.

Over the years, I have also been trusted by the levels in the block, ward and assigned many tasks such as fund raising, association work, and work for the elderly. Participating in activities helps me to be optimistic and happy and I think that I have to strive for my children and for everyone. Currently, we have many exciting activities and build the group into an excellent residential group. Although we are 76 years old, we have a lot of fun such as playing volleyball, going to folk dance practice, and riding bicycles. Being able to contribute to the movement of the block makes me feel healthier and I am very happy.

Nowadays, women are increasingly confident and in control of their own lives. Not only taking care of their family and themselves, women now also effectively participate in many volunteer activities for the community and society. That motto is also the guiding principle for me to strive to carry out in the past time.

In response to the program “Godmothers spread love” of the Women’s Union of Nghe An province, I adopted an orphan in the commune. Understanding the hardships that the child had to endure, I tried to share and accompany the child in life and study. I wanted to become a support for the child to stand up after the loss and gradually grow up and mature.

Along with that, during the time when the whole province in general and Hung Nguyen district in particular had to cope with the Covid-19 pandemic, I, along with other women in the district, carried out many practical activities such as cooking rice to serve Covid-19 patients, medical staff and people in concentrated quarantine areas. Along with that, in the movements to support people to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and floods, I and other women in the area also made efforts to contribute to the flood areas.

Witnessing the joy of the unfortunate people when receiving gifts or care from women, I myself feel extremely happy. And I promise myself to spread that love more widely and practically in the future.
