Improving skills in approaching and mobilizing international partners for women's union officials
That is the goal set at the Workshop "Consulting on skills to access and mobilize international partners to participate in supporting the resolution of urgent issues for women and children in ethnic minority and mountainous areas in 2024" in the Central region organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in Nghe An.

Attending the event were Ms. Tran Thi Anh Thu - Member of the Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; experts in the fields of foreign affairs, security and international resource mobilization from the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations and related units.
The workshop attracted 90 delegates, including leaders and officials of the Women's Union at all levels from 11 provinces and cities: Thanh Hoa, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Tri, Quang Binh, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Dak Nong, Phu Yen, Ha Tinh, Lam Dong and Nghe An.

The workshop focused on four main contents: Overview of the activities of the organizationsnon-governmentalforeign countries in Vietnam; Vietnam's policies and guidelines on foreign non-governmental work; Experience in mobilizing aid from international resources, especially foreign non-governmental sources; trends in foreign non-governmental aid; National program on enhancing cooperation and mobilizing foreign non-governmental aid for the period 2019 - 2025.
Some issues to note in foreign affairs activities. Current world and regional situation and its impact on Vietnam. Mid-term results of foreign affairs and international integration of the Vietnam Women's Union and solutions and tasks for the second half of the term.

In addition, representatives of the Women's Unions of Dak Lak, Lam Dong, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh provinces discussed foreign affairs activities and friendly cooperation between the unions at all levels with countries sharing borders; models of international women's clubs in areas such as cyber environment, environmental protection, etc.
This is the first workshop in a series of 3 workshops in 3 regions under Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" in 2024 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union under the National Target Program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas for the period 2021 - 2030.

The workshop aims to raise awareness, foster skills and share experiences for Women's Union officials in provinces and cities in ethnic minority and mountainous areas on skills to approach and mobilize international partners. This activity also contributes to the implementation of Resolution No. 18 of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union on supporting women in international integration until 2030.

Currently, Vietnam is in the process of strong development and deep international integration. Foreign affairs, including mobilizing and receiving foreign funding, not only provide resources for sustainable development and improving the quality of life, but also create opportunities to enhance Vietnam's position in the international community.
International projects mobilized and implemented by the Vietnam Women's Union at all levels have actively contributed to solving the difficulties and needs of women as well as the union at all levels in many fields. Specifically, such as enhancing economic power for women, preventing and combating domestic violence, preventing and combating trafficking of women and children, digital transformation, and green development. At the same time, they have actively contributed to the socio-economic development of localities.
