Russian President Vladimir Putin wants good relations with the United States on the principle of reciprocity, but Moscow regrets the unconstructive stance of the United States and cannot ignore unfriendly and hostile expressions aimed at Russia, the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

"Moscow has never been the initiator of the crisis, various restrictions in bilateral relations and economic sanctions," the press secretary of the Russian President said.

"Moscow has consistently acted against such an approach. And President Putin, I would like to remind you, has consistently spoken about Moscow's desire to build good relations based on the principles of mutual benefit and trust," Peskov told reporters.
