Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the decision to leave the EU is the British people's choice, Russia will not interfere in this matter.

"In all respects, this is the choice of the British people. We have not interfered, are not interfering and will not interfere," Mr. Putin declared.
"Now there will probably be some formal procedure connected with the British decision to leave the European Union. We will closely follow this, we will analyze it, we will try to minimize any negative impact of this decision on our economy... As we see, if it has hit the market, the currency, it will certainly affect and has already been reflected in stock indexes, which means it will affect the prices of all traditional goods... But I am sure that this situation will be corrected in the near future," Putin said after the SCO summit.
