Putin reveals hot news about the Idlib liberation campaign
At a press conference with Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz in St. Petersburg (Russia), President Putin emphasized that peace is the ultimate goal in Syria, not victories on the battlefield.

“In the near future, there will be no military action in the Idlib region. Russia does not want war there. What we want is peace and the method that Russia is using in Syria has been effective,” Putin said.
In addition, the Kremlin leader also said that the humanitarian approach in Syria "will help the Syrian people" whether they live in areas controlled by the government or the opposition.
“We don’t care where they live, the main thing is that they need help. The Syrian people should not have to suffer like this,” Putin commented.
Also at the press conference, President Putin revealed that his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan had contributed a lot to the peace process in Syria, and was also the one who built the idea of creating demilitarized zones.
“We have been cooperating closely with our Turkish partners. It can be seen that Ankara respects the signed agreements,” Putin said.
It is known that, according to President Putin, Austria has also shown its readiness to join hands in humanitarian aid efforts in Syria. When talking about this issue, Chancellor Kurz affirmed: "As a major country, Russia has a heavy responsibility to find a political solution to the crisis in Ukraine and Syria." At the same time, Mr. Kurz also called for foreign armed forces to leave Syria.
