South Korean military confirms North Korean missile flew over Japan
South Korea's military confirmed Tuesday's North Korean missile launch that flew over northern eastern Japan, Yonhap news agency reported.
"Today, at 05:57 North Korea launched a missile towards the Sea of Japan," — the news agency reported, referring to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The South Korean military also confirmed a report by Japanese television channel NHK that the missile was fired and flew over northern eastern Japan.
North Korean missile flew 2,700 kilometers and fell into the Pacific Ocean.
The situation on the Korean peninsula has been tense after the US and North Korea exchanged heated statements. North Korea has promised to launch ballistic missiles towards the island of Guam, where the US Andersen Air Force Base and Apra Harbor Naval Base are located.
US President Donald Trump has promised that if North Korean leader Kim Jong Un "does something to Guam, North Korea will have an event the likes of which nobody has ever seen before."
