National Assembly begins process of voting for 48 positions
The list of people who will be voted on will be submitted to the National Assembly for approval during the working session on October 24.
According to the working program, in the morning, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Work Committee Tran Van Tuy reported the results of discussions at the National Assembly Delegation on approving the appointment of the position of Minister of Information and Communications.
The National Assembly will approve the appointment of the Minister of Information and Communications by secret ballot. The vote count results will be announced in the afternoon of the same day before the National Assembly votes to pass the Resolution approving the appointment of this position.

This afternoon, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee Tran Van Tuy presented a report on the proposed list of people to be voted on for confidence.
According to Article 18 of the Law on Supervisory Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils, the positions elected and approved by the National Assembly are stipulated to be subject to a vote of confidence, including: President, Vice President; Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Council of Nationalities, Chairmen of the Committees of the National Assembly; Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies; Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, and State Auditor General.

Thus, there are 50 positions elected and approved by the National Assembly. However, at this session, only 48 people will be voted on for confidence, because the President and the Minister of Information and Communications were appointed at this session and have not worked for 9 months in their new positions, so there will not be a vote of confidence.
The National Assembly will approve the list of people to be voted on by electronic voting system. Voting and announcementThe vote counting results will be done tomorrow (October 25).
Also during this working session, National Assembly deputies discussed in groups socio-economic issues, annual and mid-term state budgets, and the draft Law amending and supplementing Laws with provisions related to planning.
