(Baonghean.vn) - National Highway 1A, the section passing through Nghe An, from Dien Chau district to Quan Hanh town, Nghi Loc district, is deteriorating, sinking, and patchy, posing a danger to traffic participants.

The project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A, Dien Chau - Quan Hanh section, 23.4 km long, invested by the Department of Transport of Nghe An province, is designed according to the standards of a level 3 plain road with 4 lanes for motor vehicles, 2 lanes for non-motorized vehicles, and a 21.5 m wide roadbed. The total investment is more than 1,222 billion VND. Reporters noted on August 17 that this road has many degraded areas.
In the section passing through Dien Thinh commune (Dien Chau), some sections of asphalt road are congested, causing piles of asphalt. Fearing danger, road users often have to avoid and suddenly turn the steering wheel when passing through here, causing danger to other vehicles.

Currently, Nghe An Department of Transport is urging the repair of rutted, sunken, and damaged spots.

Not only is the asphalt piled up high, the road surface is also sunk, eroded, cracked into potholes, affecting traffic.
Some degraded points have been repaired.

National Highway 1A, from Dien Chau district to Quan Hanh town (Nghi Loc), is crisscrossed with temporary repair and patching points. Locals said that although the authorities have fixed the problem, it is still not completely resolved.
