Quy Hop: Inspected and punished 369 cases of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 9, the Steering Committee 389 of Nghe An province worked with the Steering Committee 389 of Quy Hop district on the implementation of anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the district.
In 2017, the Steering Committee 389 of Quy Hop district regularly coordinated with Market Management Team No. 9 to effectively carry out market management work in the area. During the year, 369 cases were inspected, 308 cases were handled, and 12 violations were handled; the total value of fines collected was nearly 288 million VND (of which administrative fines were nearly 230 million VND, the value of smuggled goods was over 54 million VND, and destroyed goods were over 3.7 million VND).

The district has arrested and handled 103 cases of forestry law violations, confiscating 256.19 m3Round wood, sawn wood of all kinds, collected more than 1.3 billion VND for the budget; of which 835 million VND was fined and 499 million VND was collected from selling forest products.
In the field of economic management order, the most prominent activities are still illegal mining, transportation of minerals, and trading in prohibited goods. Discovered and seized 16,435 kg of various types of fireworks; seized 3.5 m3wood of all kinds, 1,631 tons of tin ore; total amount of administrative fines for violations paid to the state budget is 44 million VND.

The provincial steering committee requested the Steering Committee 389 of Quy Hop district to continue to effectively implement the work of preventing smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the area from now until the Lunar New Year 2018.
Conduct a general inspection and mobilize the collection of weapons, explosives, and support tools before, during, and after Tet. Strengthen inspection and control of business activities; regulate price posting, and handle cases of taking advantage of the situation to speculate and increase prices, causing market instability.
