Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung: Quy Hop District needs to organize peak periods to speed up the progress of building and repairing houses for people with meritorious services and poor households.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung requested the Steering Committee of Quy Hop district and communes to focus on directing the implementation, organizing peak periods, such as campaigns to speed up the progress of building and repairing houses for people with meritorious services, poor households, and households with housing difficulties in the area.
On the afternoon of February 20, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Provincial Party Secretary, Head of the Steering Committee of the Program to mobilize and support the construction and repair of houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances inspected the progress of the program in Quy Hop district.
Also participating in the inspection delegation were comrades: Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee; leaders of the Department of Construction, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Ethnic Minorities Committee, and Quy Hop district.
Built and repaired 514 houses, reaching 60% of the plan
Before working with the district leaders, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung and the working delegation inspected the implementation of the program to support, build and repair houses for the poor and people in difficult circumstances in 3 communes: Dong Hop, Tam Hop and Tho Hop.
Directly visiting households, inquiring about people's lives and the process of building and repairing houses, the Provincial Party Secretary shared joy with households that had received support to build and repair houses, and were able to live in solid and spacious houses.
Presenting gifts from the Provincial Steering Committee 1838, the Provincial Party Secretary sympathized with the hardships and difficulties of the households; listened to the thoughts and wishes of the families approved for support in building and repairing houses.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung encouraged families to balance resources, build and repair houses suitable to their financial capacity and actual conditions, ensuring an increasingly improved life.
The households expressed their joy and sent their thanks to the Party committees, authorities at all levels, philanthropists, businesses, individuals and organizations that have supported the family in building and repairing the house to make it more solid and sturdy.
Reporting on the program implementation results, Quy Hop District Party Secretary Duong Hoang Vu said that the district still has 3,249 poor households, accounting for 9.7%; 5,055 near-poor households, accounting for 165.1%; of which, the number of poor households and households in difficult circumstances in need of repairing and building new houses under the programs is 775 houses.
The total number of houses approved for housing support in Quy Hop district in the period of 2023 - 2025 is: 865 houses, of which 607 houses are newly built; 258 houses are repaired. The total number of houses allocated from the programs up to now is 514 houses, reaching 60% of the plan.
The number of houses that need to be continued in the district is 351, of which 130 new houses are to be built and 221 houses are to be repaired. The district mobilized 84 houses and requested support from superiors for 267 houses.
Quy Hop district strives to complete the construction and repair of houses for people with meritorious services, poor households, and households with housing difficulties before June 30, 2025.
Organize peak periods for building and repairing houses for people
Concluding the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung acknowledged the efforts and achievements of the Quy Hop District Steering Committee in implementing the program of building and repairing houses for people with meritorious services, poor households, and households with housing difficulties in the area.
However, the Provincial Party Secretary said that the results achieved by Quy Hop district are still modest compared to other localities, especially compared to mountainous districts. The district needs to re-evaluate the responsibility of each member of the Steering Committee at the district and commune levels in directing the implementation. Mobilizing resources in the area still faces many difficulties.
Emphasizing the tasks for the district in the coming time, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung said that to achieve the required goals, the district needs to focus on directing drastic implementation.
From now until August 31, 2025, the district needs to organize peak periods, such as campaigns to speed up the implementation progress. Review carefully, do not miss any subjects, update and report the implementation results weekly to the Provincial Steering Committee.
Members of the Steering Committee at district and commune levels need to develop specific plans, clearly defining goals and completion time; clearly assigning responsibilities to each member of the Steering Committee in charge of the area with the 5 clear principles: clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear time, clear progress to organize implementation.
During the implementation process, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung also requested Quy Hop district to pay attention to directing to ensure the conditions and criteria of the project, ensuring that the house meets the 3 hard standards: hard foundation, hard wall, hard roof; pay attention to reviewing and solving the problem of legal residential land for households.
On the other hand, pay attention to propaganda so that people can build houses that are suitable to their economic conditions and capabilities, and do not let the house build up and create a debt burden. Mobilize human and material support from the government, organizations, unions, and neighbors for disadvantaged families.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung requested Quy Hop district to continue to call for and mobilize resources to create more support for the subjects. At the same time, continue to review, calculate, and clearly identify capital sources, and proactively advance from sources to implement the program to ensure the set goals and progress.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung also requested departments, branches, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee to identify and allocate capital sources early for localities, including Quy Hop district, according to the programs. In case of necessity, advance sources to implement the program to ensure progress.
During the inspection, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung requested Quy Hop district to prepare well for the organization of party congresses at all levels. Continue to effectively and efficiently carry out the revolution in streamlining the organizational apparatus, paying special attention to the ideological work of cadres and party members.
At the same time, Quy Hop district needs to pay attention to mobilizing local children of working age who are working far away to change their thinking and behavior and return to their hometowns to work in factories and enterprises in the province to improve their lives and meet the labor needs of businesses and investors.
