Quynh Luu completed 70% of the volume of irrigation traffic construction.

(Baonghean.vn) - After 1 week of launching, up to now, Quynh Luu district has completed more than 70% of the volume of irrigation traffic construction in 2016.

More than 1,600 students of Quynh Luu 1 High School actively participated in irrigation and traffic construction.

In this irrigation campaign, Quynh Luu 1 High School was assigned the task of dredging and cleaning the irrigation channel of N214 canal with a total length of 2,000 meters. This is an important canal that plays a role in providing irrigation water for hundreds of hectares of agricultural land in Quynh Hung, Quynh Ba and Quynh Ngoc communes.

Although the work was hard and there were many difficult parts, the students actively and enthusiastically completed the assigned work.

To complete the assigned plan, Quynh Luu 1 High School has closely coordinated with Quynh Luu Irrigation Enterprise in dividing the workload for each specific class unit. The school has mobilized more than 50 teachers and 1,605 students to participate. Within 1 day, with the enthusiasm of youth wishing to contribute a part of their strength to help farmers in agricultural production, students of Quynh Luu 1 High School have excellently completed the assigned work with a total volume of dredging more than 500m3 of mud and soil, cleaning and clearing 4,000m2 of trees and grass on the canal bank.

After dredging, irrigation canal N214 has clear flow.

Up to now, in Quynh Luu district, 5/8 high schools have launched the campaign to build irrigation works with a total volume of dredging 1,426m3 of mud and soil, cleaning and clearing 19,000m2 of canal banks, reaching more than 70% of the plan. Strive from now until October 30, 100% of high schools will complete the campaign to build irrigation works. Thereby contributing to ensuring irrigation conditions for agricultural production of farmers, especially in the upcoming winter-spring crop./.
