Quynh Luu completed more than 95% of the volume of irrigation traffic.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of November 5, staff, teachers and students of Quynh Luu 2 High School started working on irrigation works. Up to this point, Quynh Luu district has completed more than 95% of the irrigation works in 2016.

In this irrigation campaign, Quynh Luu 2 High School was assigned the task of dredging and cleaning the Nam Vuc Mau canal with a total length of nearly 9,000 m. This is an important canal that plays a role in providing irrigation water for more than 700 hectares of agricultural land and domestic water for thousands of households in the communes of Quynh Hoa, Quynh Thach, Quynh My and Quynh Van.

Despite difficult and muddy sections, Quynh Luu 2 students still completed the assigned work.

To complete the assigned plan, Quynh Luu 2 High School has coordinated with Quynh Luu Irrigation Enterprise to divide the workload for each specific class unit. The school has mobilized more than 1,600 teachers and students in 42 classes to participate.

Within 1 day, Quynh Luu 2 High School successfully completed the assigned work with a total dredging volume of more than 560 m³ mud, cleaning and clearing more than 25,000 m²trees and grass on the bank of the ditch.

After dredging, the Nam Vuc Mau canal has been cleared, water has been brought to the fields to help people prepare for the 2017 winter-spring crop.

Thus, up to this point, in Quynh Luu district, 7/8 high schools have started to build irrigation traffic with a total length of 32 km of canals, dredging volume of nearly 2,500 m³mud, cleaning and clearing 81,000 m²ditch banks, reaching more than 95% of the plan. Strive from now until November 30, 100% of high schools will complete the campaign to launch irrigation traffic, thereby contributing to ensuring irrigation conditions for agricultural production of farmers, especially the upcoming winter-spring crop./.
