Quynh Luu (Nghe An) exported over 6,000 tons of seafood
(Baonghean.vn) - Quynh Luu District (Nghe An) currently has 1,269 fishing vessels. In the first 5 months of this year, despite many difficulties, fishermen caught 19,600 tons of seafood and exported 6,000 tons.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dinh, Head of the Department of Agriculture of Quynh Luu district, said: Of the 19,600 tons of seafood, anchovies and yellowstripe scad account for 4,000 tons; exported fish account for about 6,000 tons, including: spotted scad, silver pomfret, squid, hairtail, and small tuna.
In the first 5 months of the year, Quynh Luu built and put into use 20 ships, of which 9 ships borrowed capital to build ships according to Decree 67/CP, concentrated in the communes of Son Hai with 3 ships, Tien Thuy with 4 ships, Quynh Long with 1 ship, and An Hoa with 1 ship.
The district continues to support 5 project owners to complete the loan registration documents for shipbuilding according to Decree 67/CP. Up to now, 55 project owners have been approved by the Provincial People's Committee (including replacing 12 project owners who did not implement).
