12 cases infected from the "epidemic" Minh An General Hospital

The provincial Center for Disease Control assessed: If drastic solutions are implemented, the Covid-19 epidemic situation in the locality can be stabilized and controlled in the next 3-4 days.

Currently, the Obstetrics Department of Minh An General Hospital has 7 patients in need of care. All the doctors and nurses in the Obstetrics Department of this hospital are F1, and there is no staff to take care of the patients. The hospital needs support for staff to provide care and treatment.

Temporarily suspend the work of Chairman of People's Committee of Quynh Lam commune

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Van Bo - Chairman of Quynh Luu District People's Committee said: Following the direction of the province, Quynh Luu has focused on doing a good job of investigating and tracing related cases. The district has been and is continuing to do a good job of isolating F1 cases; expanding centralized quarantine areas in communes to bring F1 cases for epidemic prevention. F2 cases are quarantined at home according to regulations; printing signs of houses with people in quarantine and posting them in front of the gate.

After learning, Quynh Luu district decided to temporarily suspend the Chairman of Quynh Lam commune People's Committee for his irresponsibility in management to improve the effectiveness of epidemic prevention work.

Concluding the meeting, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Head of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, Director of Nghe An Department of Health commended and highly appreciated Quynh Luu district for proactively implementing drastic epidemic prevention solutions, especially zoning, medical isolation; and rapid sample collection for testing.

Social distancing, isolation, and reducing people's movement are very important. The district has made good use of the "golden time" to control the epidemic. Suspending those who have not fulfilled their responsibilities in preventing and fighting Covid-19 is necessary.

The district implements epidemic prevention and control according to the motto of "proactively zoning large areas and isolating small areas" in a scientific, thorough and effective manner; must ensure good conditions to ensure safety for quarantine areas; manage medical quarantine well, and prevent cross-infection.

Quynh Luu also needs to step up propaganda work, promote the internal commune and hamlet broadcasting system to raise awareness of epidemic prevention, promote the role of epidemic prevention and control of the people; at the same time, strengthen inspection and examination of compliance with epidemic prevention and control regulations in 6 communes implementing social isolation according to Directive 16 (Quynh Hung, An Hoa, Quynh Lam, Quynh Giang, Tan Son and Quynh Van).
