Since the 3rd Congress (July 2020), the activities of the Nghe An Provincial Historical Science Association have had positive and comprehensive changes in all aspects. To date, the association has 6 branches, with 108 members, of which 86 members have been granted membership cards of the Vietnam Historical Science Association.

Recently, the Science AssociationHistoryNghe An province has promoted its role and strengths in organizing research and compiling local historical works, promoting the development of provincial historiography. Some typical works include: History of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Nghe An province (1930 - 2020), History of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the movementyouthNghe An (1925 - 2020), History of Nghe An Provincial People's Council (1946 - 2021), History of Nghe An Industry and Trade... Some members of the Association participated in compiling the work Ho Chi Minh - Symbol of peace, friendship between Vietnam and the world. Publishing the book Nghe An Cultural Heritage, volume 2 and volume 3, Instructions for arranging worship at relics; preparing records to rank 2 national relics and 11 provincial relics.

In addition, the association also implemented a number of scientific topics at provincial, sectoral and local levels, advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue the Project "Protecting and promoting intangible cultural heritage representing humanity: Vi - Giam Nghe Tinh" and the implementation plan.

Nghe An Provincial Historical Science Association organizes and participates in provincial and national scientific conferences on historical, cultural and educational issues in Nghe An province. With solid knowledge of culture and history, the Association's members have promoted their strengths in consulting and social criticism in the fields of social sciences and humanities such as: Reviewing dossiers for ranking relics and scenic spots, reviewing dossiers for ranking historical relics at the provincial level, naming streets for Vinh city and Cua Lo town, criticizing the work History of Nghe An Propaganda Sector (1930 - 2020), History of Nghe An Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Work (1930 - 2020), Nghe An Provincial Party Committee through congresses (1930 - 2020), History of Nghe An Provincial People's Council (1946 - 2021)...

To disseminate knowledge and traditional education, members of the Historical Science Association have published many quality articles in prestigious columns and publications. Propaganda and promotion of the Association's activities have also been effectively implemented in many forms.

After more than 10 years of establishment, the Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Historical Science Association decided to publish the publication “Nghe An - Past and Present” as a mouthpiece. This is a forum that gathers and brings together researchers inside and outside the association, a place to share knowledge and research results of members, in order to contribute to preserving and promoting the fine traditions of the homeland in the period of integration and development.

Although there are still many difficulties in consolidating the organization, connecting, gathering members, linking in research work, lacking funding, headquarters, specialists... the results achieved and the contributions of the association, branches, and members are the premise for the Association's activities in 2022.
