Launching the model of Inter-family Safety Group on fire prevention and fighting in Hong Son ward (Vinh city)

Model "Fire safety interfamily group"launched by the Ministry of Public Security nationwide, with the aim of promptly alerting, preparing means, quickly mobilizing people to participate in fire fighting, seizing the "golden moment", being ready to fight fires, rescue and rescue when fires and explosions occur in residential areas and houses.

Hong Son Ward consists of 7 blocks and 2,066 households, about 8,181 people. In the area, there are apartments, collective apartment buildings, boarding houses and other types... Some people have added more rooms, "tiger cages" surrounded, affecting the ability to escape, causing the risk of loss of life and property in case of fire. Some streets have many flammable goods such as Le Hong Son, Tran Dang Ninh, Le Huan, Cao Thang, Ta Cong Luyen, Nguyen Canh Chan...

On the other hand, in the area there are many small roads, no natural water sources, far from water hydrants, when a fire occurs, it will be difficult to fight the fire. Therefore, proactively deploying fire prevention and fighting models is necessary.

The inter-family fire safety team was established in group 4, block 67, Hong Son ward with 8 adjacent households. Households participating in the model installed fire alarms inside and outside the household, equipped with fire extinguishers, common demolition tools such as rope ladders, hammers, pliers... and were instructed in fire prevention knowledge and skills, and provided with fire prevention handbooks in the family...

Households in the inter-family group are equipped with an interconnected alarm bell system. When a fire or explosion occurs in a household, that family will press the emergency alarm bell, at which time all the bells of adjacent households in the model will simultaneously sound the alarm, thereby promptly receiving support from the people.

In addition, households are also installed with wireless smoke detectors. When there is a large amount of smoke, the system will automatically call 20 phone numbers of the fire police, ward police, family... the fire department will receive the fastest information to handle the incident.

For public fire stations, they are mainly deployed on narrow roads, where fire trucks have difficulty accessing when a fire breaks out. Here, households have fully equipped themselves with fire prevention and fighting equipment. When a fire or explosion occurs, the on-site forces will simultaneously deploy the fastest and most effective fire fighting measures.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Dinh Ha - Deputy Head of Vinh City Police acknowledged the attention and responsibility of the people as well as the Hong Son Ward government in fire prevention and fighting in the area. In the coming time, Vinh City Police will coordinate with localities to build more inter-family fire safety teams in the city, especially in the upcoming hot season.

The establishment of Fire Safety Inter-family Teams helps build an on-site firefighting force, equipped with firefighting skills, responsible for coordinating with authorities to respond promptly when fires and explosions occur. This is a practical model that needs to be replicated in Vinh City in particular and Nghe An province in general.
