Reviewing preparations for the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising and the Mai King Temple Festival
On the morning of February 21, the Organizing Committee of the 1300th Anniversary of the Hoan Chau Uprising and the Mai King Temple Festival 2013 held a meeting to review the final work for the celebration. The 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising, the 1290th anniversary of the death of Mai Hac De and the Mai King Temple Festival 2013 took place over 3 days from February 22 to 24, 2013, i.e. from the 13th to the 15th of the first lunar month in Nam Dan district on a provincial scale. The rally to commemorate the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising and the opening of the Mai King Temple Festival were held at 8:30 p.m. on February 23, i.e. the 14th of the first lunar month. Up to now, the preparations for the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising and the organization of the scientific conference "The Hoan Chau uprising and the role of Mai Thuc Loan in the history of the nation's struggle against foreign invaders" taking place on the afternoon of February 23 have been carried out on schedule by the Organizing Committee and Nam Dan district. The work of renovating and embellishing the tomb of King Mai, and the drafting of scripts for the ceremonies including: procession, proclamation ceremony, great sacrifice ceremony, incense offering and thanksgiving ceremony have been completed.
After listening to the opinions of the members of the Organizing Committee, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong acknowledged that the assigned sub-committees had made specific, thoughtful plans and solutions, on schedule. He affirmed: This is a major event taking place right at the beginning of the new year of Quy Ty, so the Provincial People's Committee and Nam Dan district must make efforts to organize a successful celebration, creating an impression. The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the members of the Organizing Committee, relevant departments and branches to uphold their responsibilities, proactively review the implementation content, and handle problems. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to the arrangements for welcoming delegates, resolving traffic congestion, security forces, protection... so that the 1300th anniversary of the Hoan Chau uprising can take place successfully.
