Rashford tells of Erik ten Hag's cleverness in capturing MU stars
Erik ten Hag gradually brought MU into line in an effort to return to the top. Marcus Rashford tells the "behind the scenes" story of how the Dutch coach won over the Red Devils' stars.
Marcus Rashford is one of the players who received severe punishment from captain Erik ten Hag due to “team discipline violation”. He had to sit on the bench in the MU 1-0 Wolves round 18 match.Premier Leaguelast season at the end of last year, before being brought on in the second half and "atoning" with the decisive goal.

The England striker recently revealed that he was actually just late for the team meeting before the match.MUabout… 45 seconds to 1 minute at most.
“I learned from some of my teammates who were late in pre-season. I wasn't even late by much, just 45 seconds to a minute at most. But I knew what was going to happen and didn't argue about it.”.
Rashford also said,Erik ten Hagemphasized the importance of pre-season: “I would say pre-season is one of the hardest periods. In addition to running, there are a lot of passing drills that require a lot of concentration. When you are tired, it is difficult to concentrate during that time.
We usually do a 30 minute technique session, then do some shorter intensity runs and then go back to technique. It's not really a hard session but when you do it in the heat where we train it's a challenge.”.

And above all, the Dutch coach gradually brought a winning mentality to the MU players. Rashford revealed that when he came to Old Trafford to take over a team that had just gone through a turbulent season and did not have a ticket to the Champions League, Erik ten Hag had never once mentioned the top 4 of the Premier League with the MU stars:
“When Erik ten Hag came to United, I never heard him mention the top four in the Premier League. He just wanted to win trophies and if you have that mentality, it doesn't matter what league you're in, you should try to win everything.
There was a time when United were not defending well and were not scoring many goals and Ten Hag wanted us to fix that.
We always bounce back from disappointing results. There is nothing worse than losing heavily against big opponents. He then analyses the game for us. He gives us the confidence to bounce back with better results.”.
Rashford was the biggest beneficiary of Erik ten Hag's arrival at MU. He helped him revive, having the most successful season of his career to date, scoring 30 goals for the Red Devils in all competitions.
Meanwhile, MU returned to the Champions League (ranked 3rd in the Premier League), entered the Europa League semi-finals and won the League Cup.
