According to the indictment, at about 7:30 p.m. on February 6, 2018, Hao, Manh, Bao, and Nga went to Thai Van Hong's house in Hamlet 6, Ky Tan Commune, Tan Ky District to play.
While sitting around, Bao invited the remaining subjects to gamble in the form of betting 50,000 VND per game, and all 3 agreed.
After that, Hao went to the grocery store of Mr. Thai Van Hong's family to buy a deck of cards, then all four of them sat at the table drinking water in front of Mr. Hong's house and started gambling.

A while later, Sang and Son came one by one and sat down to gamble. Thai Van Hong did not participate in the gambling but only stood watching and selling soft drinks to the gamblers.
At around 9:30 p.m. the same day, while the subjects were gambling, the Tan Ky District Police force came in and caught them red-handed, seizing 6,350,000 VND and a deck of cards from the gambling table. In addition, the Tan Ky District Police task force also discovered and confiscated 400,000 VND from Sang; 1 million VND from Hao's front right jeans pocket and 700,000 VND from Nga.
The investigation proved that Hao used 2.5 million VND, Bao used 1.3 million VND, Manh used 850,000 VND, Nga used 1.2 million VND, Son used 1 million VND and Sang used 1.6 million VND for gambling.
The total amount of money the subjects used for gambling purposes was 8,450,000 VND. Thai Van Hong (the homeowner), although not directly participating in gambling and not collecting the pool money, agreed to let the above subjects gamble at the location under his management. Therefore, Thai Van Hong's actions were an accomplice to the crime of Gambling.

At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Son to 7 months in prison; the subjects given suspended sentences include: Hao 7 months, Manh 6 months, Nga 6 months, Bao 7 months; Hong 6 months, Sang 9 months of non-custodial reform.
