Experience in district-level defense area drills, flood and storm prevention drills, and search and rescue in 2023
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of October 9, the Provincial Military Command held a conference to review experiences in defense area drills, flood and storm prevention drills, and district-level search and rescue drills in 2023.
Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Exercise Steering Committee chaired the conference. Attending the conference were Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command.
In 2023, Nghe An province directed the organization of defense area drills, flood and storm prevention drills, and search and rescue drills for 6 localities in 2023, including 5 districts and towns practicing defense areas including: Dien Chau, Nghia Dan, Con Cuong, Ky Son and Thai Hoa; Nghi Loc district practiced flood and storm prevention, search and rescue.

After receiving the plan, the localities have done well all preparations from drafting the system of documents and drill plans; Building the drill command post; Surveying and selecting the location of the field exercise; Mobilizing forces and means, organizing serious and strict training. The field exercise practiced mobilizing reserve soldiers; Mobilizing human resources, ships and civilian vehicles according to Decree 30 and 130 of the Government; A2 field exercise and martial law, curfew; Fighting the enemy invading the border; Searching and rescuing on the river and overcoming the consequences.
With the efforts of departments, branches, organizations, localities, armed forces and people, the preparation and practice of defense area drills, flood and storm prevention drills, search and rescue drills have taken place according to plan, with quality and efficiency. The local training framework has performed quite well in the roles, resolved situations promptly and flexibly, the forces have closely coordinated in handling situations that occurred, ensuring absolute safety for people, weapons, equipment and technical means.


The conference also discussed and pointed out limitations and shortcomings and proposed solutions to overcome them so that by 2024, localities can practice and achieve better results.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 20 individuals with outstanding achievements in the defense area drill, flood and storm prevention drill, and district-level search and rescue in 2023./.
