Young man sentenced to 14 years in prison for stealing money from ATM
Entering Vietnam through Da Nang international airport, Vuong Dai Sam used information copying technology and forged ATM cards to withdraw money.
Quang Ninh Provincial People's Court sentenced Wang Da Sen (Vuong Dai Sam, born in 1981, residing in Guangxi, China) to 14 years in prison for the crime of "Using computer networks, telecommunications networks, and electronic means to commit acts of property appropriation".

According to the indictment of the People's Procuracy of Quang Ninh province, on May 3, 2018, Vuong Dai Sam was caught red-handed by the Economic Police Department of Quang Ninh province while using a fake ATM card to withdraw money at an ATM of a bank in Ha Long city.
Through the investigation, it was found that the subject entered Vietnam through Da Nang International Airport on March 3, 2018, carrying ATM card blanks, copying and recording equipment, laptops and electronic devices to copy customers' ATM card information to make fake cards to withdraw money at ATMs of banks in Vietnam.
Vuong Dai Sam installed a device to copy card information and made fake ATM cards to withdraw and appropriate a total of more than 500 million VND./.
