On the morning of August 17, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh - Director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) Nghe An informed: In the past 12 hours (from 6:00 p.m. on August 16 to 7:00 a.m. on August 17),Nghe Annoted20 new positive cases of Covid-19.

1. Patient TTH, female, born in 1969.Address: Nghi An,Vinh CityOccupation: Freelance. The patient had a history of going to Quang Trung market during the time frame where a positive patient was found. On August 15, the patient had symptoms of fatigue and fever, so he went to Cua Dong General Hospital to do RT-PCR test. On August 16, the result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

2. Patient TTH, female, born in 1980.Address: Cua Nam, Vinh City. Occupation: Wholesale market trader. The patient works as a fruit seller and regularly comes into contact with many people in the wholesale market. On August 16, the patient had symptoms of fever and fatigue, so he went to Thai An General Hospital for a rapid test, which tested positive. Immediately after, the patient was quarantined at Thai An General Hospital and had samples taken and sent to the CDC. On the evening of August 16, the results confirmed that he was positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

3. Patient NQT, male, born in 1991.Permanent address: Quynh Phuong, Hoang Mai Town. Temporary address: No. 12, Ngo Van So, Le Mao, Vinh City. Occupation: Worker. The patient went to Quang Trung market where the previously announced patient TTH of Ha Tinh province was present. On August 15, the patient had symptoms of headache and fever and bought medicine to take but did not improve. On August 16, the patient went to Le Mao Medical Station to make a medical declaration, then the patient went to CDC for a rapid test with two positive results. Immediately after that, the patient had an RT-PCR sample taken and sent to CDC with the result confirming that he was positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

4. Patient LVQ, male, born in 1973.Occupation: Vinh wholesale market trader. Address: Hong Son, Xuan Hoa, Nam Dan. The patient carries goods for his wife to sell at Vinh wholesale market every day. On August 14, after learning that there was a positive case at the wholesale market, the patient went to the medical station to declare and complete home quarantine procedures. After that, he was not reassured so he and 9 others went to the CDC to take pooled samples using PCR testing, which gave suspicious results. On August 15, the patient was quarantined at Xuan Hoa Commune Kindergarten and took a sample to send to Cua Dong General Hospital. On August 16, the result was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

5. Patient NTT, female, born in 1974.Occupation: Selling beef at wholesale market. Address: Nghi Phu, Vinh City. On August 15, the patient's sample was taken from the community related to the wholesale market and the result was suspicious. On August 16, the patient's sample was taken again, and on the morning of August 17, the result was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

6. Patient NXĐ, male, born in 1975.Occupation: Tailor. Address: Hong Son, Vinh City. On August 15, the patient's sample was collected from the community related to the wholesale market and the result was suspicious. On August 16, the patient was sampled a sixth time and sent to the CDC. On the morning of August 17, the result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

19. Patient NVP, male, born in 1987.Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. The patient returned from Binh Duong on August 2. Immediately after returning to the locality, the patient was quarantined at Tri Le Boarding High School. The patient was sampled 5 times and all were negative. On August 16, the patient was sampled a sixth time and sent to the CDC. On the morning of August 17, the result confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

20. Patient VTC, female, born in 1982.Address: Tri Le, Que Phong. The patient returned from Binh Phuoc on August 2. Immediately after returning to the locality, the patient was quarantined at Tri Le Boarding High School. The patient was sampled 5 times and all were negative. On August 16, the patient was sampled for the 6th time and sent to CDC. On the morning of August 17, the result was confirmed positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.
