The first patient is NQB (born in 1993, residing in block 8, Trung Do ward) is F1 of patient 11633. Previously, the patient was quarantined at the quarantine area of ​​Thai Binh Duong Hotel, Cua Lo town.

Patient NQB worked and played with patient 11633 and patient 11440. Patient NQB was quarantined with patient 11633 for 1 day. On June 16, NQB's first test result was negative for SARS-CoV-2 virus. On June 19, Nghe An CDC took a second sample and found it positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The second and third new COVID-19 patients are the couple D.ST (born in 1962) - NTL (born in 1966), residing in Quang Tien block, Hung Binh ward, Vinh city.

Four days ago, patient NTL had a fever of 37.6 degrees, fatigue, and chest pain; she bought medicine at home and took it herself; on June 20, her husband, patient D.ST, took her to Cua Dong General Hospital for a rapid test. At the isolated screening area outside Cua Dong General Hospital, the wife was tested rapidly and the results were positive twice.

Seeing that his wife had a positive rapid test result, patient Đ.ST also asked to do a rapid test and also had two positive results. Both patient NTL and Đ.ST were transferred to the hospital's isolation room. After that, Cua Dong General Hospital ran RT-PCR and the results were positive.

Currently, the health sector is urgently tracing cases related to the above case and implementing epidemic prevention work.

At 7:35 a.m. on June 21, Associate Professor, Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, Director of Nghe An Department of Health informed:In addition to the 3 cases announced at 7:00 a.m., this morning, Nghe An also had 1 new infection, bringing the total number of COVID-19 infections announced on the morning of June 21 to 4. The COVID-19 patient is NTH, born in 1977, with a permanent address in Kim Lien commune, Nam Dan district.

According to medical declaration and epidemiological investigation: From June 1 to June 13, patient NTH stayed home alone and did not go anywhere.

On June 14, patient NTH asked a friend to take him by motorbike to Vinh City General Hospital for a medical examination, and was tested for Covid-19 and found negative. The patient went for a medical examination and had X-ray and laboratory tests; then the patient was treated at the Internal Medicine Department.

On June 16, at 5:00 p.m., the patient took a taxi home for an online meeting. He was alone in the meeting room. When he took the taxi home, he could not remember the taxi brand or license plate number.

On June 17, patient NTH asked a friend to take him to the hospital for treatment, but Vinh City General Hospital was locked down so he returned home. On June 18, the patient asked a friend who worked at Nam Giang Commune Health Station to come to his house to get vaccinated. On June 19, the patient asked a friend who was a retired health station staff member to come to his house to get vaccinated.

At 10 p.m. on June 20, patient NTH felt tired and had a fever, so he went to the Nam Dan District Medical Center for examination. The center conducted two rapid tests and both results were positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus; the patient was placed in isolation for treatment, investigated and monitored; the sample was sent for testing and the Provincial Center for Disease Control confirmed positive by PCR test.

With this new infection, Nghe An has officially had 31 cases of COVID-19 infection since June 13. Nam Dan has its first case of COVID-19 infection.
