At the above time, Phan Thi Hoai Nhu, an 8th grade student at Quynh Thach Secondary School, was riding her bicycle from the grocery store to turn onto the street to go home when she was hit by a truck with license plate 89C-030 52 (driver's identity unknown) speeding in the direction of Hanoi - Vinh.
