As planned, this morning (September 5), exactly at 8:00 a.m.opening ceremonyThe new school year will be held at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted (Vinh City). This year, because Vinh City and many other localities in the province are under social distancing, the opening ceremony will be held on a small scale, ensuring distancing conditions and shortened to 30 minutes.

However, the opening ceremony was still held solemnly with full rituals such as saluting the flag, reading the congratulatory letter from the President on the occasion of the new school year and speeches by the leaders of Nghe An province. The entire program will be broadcast live on Nghe An Television, NTVgo app, and livestreamed on the fanpage truyenhinhnghean.

This is an unprecedented opening ceremony, because this school year, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, Nghe An province has not organized centralized learning for all levels. According to current statistics, Nghe An still has 508 schools that must be used as centralized quarantine areas in 20/21 districts, cities and towns (except Cua Lo town), including 292 kindergartens, 138 primary schools and 77 secondary schools) and 1 vocational education and continuing education center.

On the eve of the new school year, Nghe An still has dozens of students and teachers being treated at field hospitals; hundreds of teachers and students in the F1 and F2 categories are being quarantined or monitored at home.
