This morning, the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council opened its 7th session.

The meeting agenda will have 6 working sessions including: opening session; group discussion session; discussion session in the hall; question and answer session; discussion and voting session to pass resolutions submitted at the meeting; closing session. In this session, the Provincial People's Council will review 25 reports and discuss and pass 34 draft resolutions.

The question and answer session related to two contents: Results of implementing Resolution No. 11 of the Government on the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program and implementing Resolution No. 43 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program and social security work in the province; work of establishing and managing construction planning and managing construction order.

In his opening speech, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Nghe An province Thai Thanh Quy, on behalf of the People's Council of the province, requested the delegates to study, discuss, and closely and accurately assess the achieved results, shortcomings and limitations, and propose specific and effective solutions to best fulfill the socio-economic targets and tasks in 2022, creating a premise for successfully implementing the socio-economic development tasks of the term. Regarding the draft resolutions submitted to the Session, the delegates need to focus on studying and discussing the important principles, goals and policies of each resolution; comprehensively analyze and evaluate the impact of policies and specific contents stipulated in the resolutions to ensure consistency, effectiveness and high efficiency.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Council also requested the delegates of the Provincial People's Council to analyze and evaluate the achieved results, shortcomings, limitations and difficulties in organizing the implementation of regulations, mechanisms and policies of the authorities at all levels, assess objective and subjective causes to remove difficulties and obstacles; at the same time, propose appropriate and effective solutions after listening to the reports at the meeting; especially the report on the results of thematic supervision of suspended projects, projects behind schedule, projects using land for the wrong purpose in the province and the training and development of human resources in Nghe An province in the period of 2015 - 2020.

In order for the session to take place on time and with quality, the Provincial Party Secretary and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Council delegates to uphold the spirit of innovation, responsibility, promote intelligence, carefully study the contents, actively discuss in the Group and the Hall, participate in questioning, clearly express opinions, especially on issues with different opinions, create high unity so that the People's Council can make decisions in accordance with the law, in accordance with the practical situation; at the same time, requested the leaders of agencies, units and localities invited by the Provincial People's Council to attend the session to fully participate and actively contribute to the contents of the session.

In the working program, the Provincial People's Council listened to the representative of the Provincial People's Committee's leadership briefly report on the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of 2022, tasks for the last 6 months of 2022; report on the results of handling voters' petitions before, during and after the 4th Session of the 18th Provincial People's Council.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee shall summarize the activities of the Provincial Fatherland Front in participating in government building, opinions and recommendations of voters and people in the province; propose and recommend necessary issues to the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee.

The Provincial National Assembly Delegation reported on the results of the 3rd Session of the 15th National Assembly; The representative of the Provincial People's Council's Supervisory Delegation reported on the summary of the supervision results of suspended projects, projects behind schedule and projects using land for the wrong purposes in Nghe An province and the supervision results of training and human resource development in Nghe An province in the period 2015 - 2020.

The Provincial People's Council also carried out personnel work within its authority; accordingly, it conducted the dismissal election and voted to pass a resolution confirming the results of the dismissal of the Provincial People's Committee member for the 2021-2026 term for comrade Le Dinh Ly - former Director of the Department of Home Affairs, due to being transferred and appointed to the position of Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Board; elected additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term and approved the draft Resolution confirming the results of the election of additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for comrade Nguyen Viet Hung - Director of the Department of Home Affairs.
