On the afternoon of October 21, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang - a cadastral officer of Nam Loc commune, Nam Dan district, said that the landslide that occurred that morning damaged 4 households here, threatening the safety of people's lives.
“Four households in hamlet 10 were threatened by landslides, including Mr. Tran Van Ha’s household whose wall was punctured by the landslide. Fortunately, there were no casualties. Currently, the authorities are mobilizing these households to move their belongings and people to take shelter elsewhere.
In addition to the above households, the whole commune has 10 hamlets, of which 7 hamlets have households clinging to the mountain slopes that are at risk of landslides...", Mr. Quang said.
“At the four households affected by landslides, we are waiting for the rain to stop so we can bring in machinery to dig up the soil. After that, we will coordinate with the families to build embankments to prevent landslides,” Mr. Quang added.
