According to observations, some landslides go deep into the road, extending from 15-20 meters. In some places, the landslides even knocked down electric poles along the road.

Mr. Lo Van Nam - a truck driver in Muong Xen town (Ky Son) said: The landslides are located at steep passes and bends, so it is dangerous for vehicles to pass through. If not careful, there is a deep abyss below.

Mr. Phan Van Long - Deputy Head of Economic - Infrastructure Department of Ky Son district added: National Highway 16 section passing through Ta Ca, Pha Danh, and Huoi Tu communes is currentlynegative slope landslide6-7 points, currently, the traffic management unit has placed warning signs and ropes in landslide areas. Ky Son District People's Committee has met with the traffic management unit to come up with a plan to fix landslide points on traffic roads in the near future.
