'Drunk' by stocks, young man steals necklace to pay off bank debt

On November 1, Hoang Mai Town Police said that the unit had just arrested Vu Van Ngai (born 2001), residing in Quynh Xuan Ward, Hoang Mai Town, for robbery.
Previously, on the afternoon of October 30, Hoang Mai Town Police received information about a robbery that occurred at Dong Tu gold and silver store in village 13, Quynh Vinh commune, Hoang Mai town.
According to the gold shop owner, at around 4:45 p.m. the same day, a young man came to buy a 2-tael 24K gold necklace, worth about 10.6 million VND. When the gold shop owner brought out the necklace, the customer tried it on around his neck and then went back to his motorbike to get his phone to transfer money. However, the subject quickly drove away.

Immediately after receiving the report, Hoang Mai Town Police deployed forces to verify and track down the criminal. Using synchronous professional measures, the police force identified Vu Van Ngai as having many suspicious signs related to the robbery at Dong Tu gold shop. By noon on October 31, knowing that he could not escape the crime, Vu Van Ngai surrendered to Hoang Mai Town Police.
According to Vu Van Ngai's statement, due to his passionplay stockSo he borrowed money from the bank to invest. However, the profit was not yet seen but the debt and interest on the bank were getting bigger and bigger. Therefore, Ngãi committed robbery to have money to pay the debt.
Currently, Hoang Mai Town Police are continuing to investigate and clarify to handle the subject according to the provisions of law.
Through this incident, the police force recommends that gold and jewelry stores need to be more vigilant, especially when letting customers wear and try on jewelry.
