The section Km24+628.81 - Km24+1051.21 of National Highway 7 through Van Yen hamlet, Hoa Son commune (Do Luong) has a length of 422.4m and is within the scope of the National Highway 7 Renovation and Upgrade Project. The Vietnam Road Administration approved the adjusted construction drawing design in Decision No. 4654/QD-CDBVN dated November 7, 2023. However, the construction work has been delayed for a long time due to problems in site clearance.
The Ministry of Transport issued Decision No. 333/QD-BGTVT nMarch 18, 2022,approved the project to upgrade National Highway 7, section Km0 - Km36, and handle landslides caused by storms and floods in the Khe Thoi - Nam Can section, Nghe An province. Accordingly, the project will be completed in 2024.

Photo: PVNational Highway 7 is an important arterial road not only for Nghe An province but also for the country, so the implementation of the National Highway 7 Renovation and Upgrade Project is extremely important. However, the project's progress is too slow compared to the set plan. Due to the slow progress, the Ministry of Transport has repeatedly issued official dispatches reminding and urging (on August 23, 2024, the Ministry of Transport continued to issue Official Dispatch No. 9178/BGTVT-CQLXD requesting the Vietnam Road Administration to remove obstacles in site clearance, and to ensure the quality and progress of the National Highway 7 Renovation and Upgrade Project). Therefore, in order for the section Km24+628.81 - Km24+1051.21 of National Highway 7 to be completed, the People's Committee of Do Luong district has issued a decision and developed a plan to enforce land recovery for households in Van Yen hamlet, Hoa Son commune.
