(Baonghean.vn) - Faced with the complicated situation of landslides in Ru Nguoc (Thanh Ngoc - Thanh Chuong), the Road Management Department II (the traffic management unit on National Highway 46B) has come up with a plan to use explosives to destroy the hanging rocks causing landslides, in order to ensure traffic safety.

According to the report of the Road Management Department II: To ensure absolute safety for people and traffic safety, during the blasting period, the Road Management Department II and the Construction and Management Joint Stock Company 470 announced the blasting time on mass media and the Thanh Chuong district government.
The expected blasting time is from November 10, 13, 15, 2020, specifically from 11:00 to 14:00. During the above hours, when the functional unit conducts blasting, it is absolutely forbidden for people, fishermen to fish on the river, people going to the forest, working on the mountain, livestock, other machinery and equipment and vehicles participating in traffic to enter the prohibited area.
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai - Deputy Director of Road Management Department II said: TerrainRu Nguocquite complicated, there are still many hanging rocks, to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles passing through here. We will thoroughly handle over 1,200 m3Cobblestones and boulders are hanging on the roof of Ru Nguoc. After handling the hanging rocks, a steel mesh fence will be built around the road along Ru Nguoc to prevent falling rocks.

In addition to announcing the blasting time on mass media, the Road Administration Department II also sent a document notifying the blasting at Ru Nguoc to the People's Committee of Thanh Chuong district and the Thanh Chuong district police for coordination.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Hien - Vice Chairman of Thanh Chuong District People's Committee added: The district has received an official dispatch from the Department of Road Management II and the 470 Construction and Management Joint Stock Company regarding the announcement of rock blasting at Ru Nguoc. During the rock blasting process, Thanh Chuong District People's Committee assigned the district police to coordinate with the traffic inspectors of the Department of Road Management II to keep watch, prohibiting people and vehicles from passing.

Ru Nguoc continues to erode, National Highway 46 through Thanh Chuong is closed to traffic
