The Traffic Police Department has issued a telegram directing the Traffic Police of provinces and cities to concentrate forces, mobilize the highest level of vehicles, weapons, and support tools, conduct inspections, and strictly handle cases of alcohol concentration violations.
In order for the Law on Prevention and Control of Alcohol and Beer Harm and Decree No. 100/2019/ND-CP dated December 30, 2019 of the Government to achieve the highest efficiency, in recent days, the Traffic Police force across the country has simultaneously launched operations to increase the handling of alcohol concentration violations.

After 5 days of implementing Decree 100/ND-CP, the Traffic Police nationwide handled 1,518 cases of alcohol concentration violations. Some localities with high handling results are: Tay Ninh, Bac Giang, Dak Lak, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City...
However, the situation of drivers not cooperating, not complying with alcohol concentration testing requests, and having actions and attitudes against officers and soldiers on duty... still occurs in some localities.
To overcome this situation, the Traffic Police Department has requested the Heads of Traffic Police Departments of local Public Security to continue to concentrate forces, mobilize the maximum means, weapons, support tools, and available technical equipment, conduct inspections, detect and strictly handle cases of alcohol concentration violations.
When organizing alcohol concentration violations, local police need to integrate drug violation control and handling; choose appropriate control locations, determine areas to ensure traffic order and safety, use markers or ropes to demarcate the control area; use cameras to record all control activities to serve the handling of violations.

Mobilize the Mobile Police, Public Order Police, and Local Police forces to coordinate with the Traffic Police to control alcohol concentration violations; resolutely handle cases of non-compliance with control requests and resistance to law enforcement officers in accordance with the law.
At the same time, coordinate with media agencies to organize news reporting and propaganda about the behavior and attitudes of violators and the results of control and handling of violations right at the scene.
In case the driver does not comply, has an attitude or acts of resistance, organize forces, control and bring him to the nearest police station for verification and clarification to strictly handle according to regulations.
If the violator is a party member, armed force member, or civil servant, inform the agency or work unit for coordination in handling.
