Super thief under the guise of a shaman committed more than 30 thefts from Nghe An to Hanoi

Realizing that the incident was complicated, occurred in broad daylight, the subject was reckless, showed professional activities, and caused bad public opinion, the leaders of Thanh Liem District Police directed the Criminal Police Team to concentrate forces to investigate, track down and arrest the subject.

Through reviewing the security camera system in communes, wards and towns and mobilizing the masses to report crimes, and simultaneously using synchronous professional measures, the detectives of the Thanh Liem District Police Criminal Investigation Team have identified the main suspect as Tran Ngoc Xiem (born in 1993), residing in Cam Son Commune, Anh Son District, Nghe An Province, currently renting a room in Thinh Dai Village, Dai Cuong Commune, Kim Bang District, under the guise of a "spirit medium" and restaurant employee. The Thanh Liem District Police Criminal Investigation Team has planned to arrest the suspect.

At the police station, Xiem admitted to being the perpetrator of the theft at Thu Ha pharmacy on October 25 and the break-in at the paint store of Mr. Bui Trung Thanh (born in 1984) in Lac Noi village, Thanh Huong commune, Thanh Liem district to steal a cell phone and a can of paint at noon on November 3.

Expanding the case, Tran Ngoc Xiem confessed that he had two previous convictions for theft. At the end of 2018, after being released from prison due to unemployment, he lived a vagrant life, "the horse is familiar with the old path", from 2019 until now, Xiem continued to commit theft.

With very sophisticated methods of operation, Xiêm used motorbikes with changed tires, changed paint colors, wore helmets, and masks to drive along the streets to spy on and take advantage of people's carelessness to break into houses, shops, and companies to steal money, cell phones, and other valuable assets.

During the arrest and search of the suspect Xiem's ​​boarding house, the police seized 1 motorbike, 1 laptop, 6 cell phones, nearly 40 million VND and many assets and documents related to the thefts.

Currently, the Criminal Police Team of Thanh Liem District Police is continuing to investigate and expand the case.
