McLaren MSO HS supercar impresses with carbon-coated exterior
Images of the McLaren MSO HS with an all-carbon exterior appeared online a few days ago and immediately attracted attention.
McLaren MSO HS is a limited edition supercar that was first introduced in August 2016. According to McLaren, only 25 MSO HS supercars were produced and sold worldwide. Thus, compared to the P1 supercar, McLaren MSO HS is even 10 times rarer.
It can be said that with a small production quantity, each McLaren MSO HS is a unique work. However, among the 25 McLaren MSO HS supercars produced, there are still some that are more special than others. The McLaren MSO HS with a carbon-coated exterior below is an example.

Images of the McLaren MSO HS with a full carbon exterior appeared online a few days ago and immediately attracted attention. Through these images, it can be seen that the body of the McLaren MSO HS is covered with bare carbon fiber. Thanks to that, the McLaren MSO HS looks more aggressive and impressive from every angle.

From a distance, the familiar carbon fiber grain is not visible, so the McLaren MSO HS looks like it’s painted grey. However, look closer and you’ll see the impeccable craftsmanship of McLaren’s MSO engineers.
Of course, this is not the first McLaren MSO HS to have an impressive exterior. Previously, people have seen McLaren MSO HS with color-changing paint or wearing eye-catching matte red.
The McLaren MSO HS is actually a more impressive version of the familiar 675LT Coupe supercar. Belonging to the Super Series supercar line, the McLaren MSO HS is also developed based on the 650S similar to the 675LT Coupe.

Highlights of the McLaren MSO HS include a series of carbon fiber details such as the front spoiler, side skirts, air intakes, hood and roof. The roof also has an air intake tunnel to increase the aerodynamics of the McLaren MSO HS.

In addition, the McLaren MSO HS is also equipped with a large, electronically controlled wing that can be changed to suit driving on the street or on the track. This wing also acts as an air brake and creates 220 kg of downforce when the car is running at 241 km/h.
All of these details help the McLaren MSO HS lose 40 kg of weight compared to its 675LT Coupe sibling. Even the windshield and window glass of the McLaren MSO HS have undergone a "weight reduction" process. Meanwhile, the engine compartment lid is made from polycarbonate plastic.
The "heart" of the McLaren MSO HS is a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine, producing a maximum capacity of 688 horsepower and a maximum torque of 700 Nm. Compared to the 675LT Coupe, the McLaren MSO HS is 13 horsepower more powerful while the torque remains unchanged.
Inside the McLaren MSO HS is the same track-oriented equipment as the 675LT Coupe. This includes the McLaren Track Telemetry system, which analyzes lap times using three cameras and GPS maps.
