The above statement was made by Singapore's Minister of Trade and Industry, Iswaran, on April 25.
The money will focus on developing the island nation's tourism products, improving productivity through technology and investing in human resources.
According to the Singapore Tourism Board, the agency's strategy for the next five years is to step up marketing efforts in China, Indonesia and India, and explore new markets such as Myanmar. In addition, the Board also builds an information repository so that businesses operating in the tourism and travel sector can share and exchange information on activities and services, thereby improving efficiency in attracting and trading special tourism, turning Singapore into an attractive destination for tourists through the activation of mobile phone applications and smart travel counters.
