SLNA chooses Duc Thang as head coach
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of October 27, Song Lam Nghe An Club announced the appointment of Coach Nguyen Duc Thang as head coach of SLNA.
The decision takes effect from November 1, 2016.
Yesterday afternoon (October 26), SLNA Club’s leadership and sponsor received a resignation letter from Coach Ngo Quang Truong. Most likely, this time, Quang Truong’s wish will be fulfilled, with Duc Thang being chosen as his successor.
After round 16 of V.League 2016, Coach Ngo Quang Truong wrote a resignation letter to the Board of Directors, but at that time, the sponsor and the entire team encouraged this coach to continue working. After returning from the coaching course organized by AFC a few days ago, Coach Ngo Quang Truong once again submitted his resignation and was arranged to rest at home, not preparing with SLNA for the new season.

After leaving SLNA's first team, coach Ngo Quang Truong will return to continue youth training because he is still on the payroll of the Nghe An team.
Regarding Coach Nguyen Duc Thang, he has 4 years of experience as assistant coach of his colleagues Nguyen Huu Thang and Ngo Quang Truong. Coach Nguyen Duc Thang is also one of the 3 SLNA coaches with the highest qualifications, having obtained the A certificate of the Asian Football Confederation - AFC. Recently, Coach Nguyen Duc Thang, along with Coaches Ngo Quang Truong and Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong, successfully completed the training course organized by AFC phase 2 in Korea and Hanoi.
