SLNA lacks U23 Vietnam players in U23 Asian qualifiers

Among the 6 players eliminated, it was quite surprising that striker Nguyen Tien Linh also had to return to the club despite practicing normally with his teammates in the last training session. Before that, doctors announced that Tien Linh had suffered a meniscus ligament injury in his knee.

In addition to Tien Linh, the remaining 5 players were eliminated for professional reasons, including: Truong Tien Anh (Viettel), midfielder Phan Thanh Hau (HAGL), Luong Hoang Nam (Hai Phong), defender Ngo Tung Quoc (HCMC) and goalkeeper Y Eli Nie (Dak Lak).

Coach Park has decided to keep central defender Tran Dinh Trong. According to the coaching staff of U23 Vietnam, the central defender of Hanoi Club is recovering very quickly from his injury, but may have to sit out the match against Brunei on March 22. However, Dinh Trong will be very necessary for U23 Vietnam in the remaining two matches against Indonesia and Thailand.
