From August 1, 2025: Replace social security number with personal identification number, citizen identification card

On August 4, Vietnam Social Security issued Official Dispatch No. 1804/BHXH-QLT guiding social security agencies of provinces and centrally run cities (provincial social security agencies) to use personal identification codes/citizen identification numbers to replace social security codes and unit management codes.
